Scout Safeguards

Public Accessible Pages:

• Documents shall include only the first name of the scout.
• Documents shall not include a scout's personal information such as birth date, home phone number, email address, residence address or the names of other family members or friends.
• Published names, e-mail addresses and phone numbers shall be restricted to those of adult volunteers that have a written permission form on file.
• Pictures of scouts will only be published with signed permission of the parent or guardian.
• No scout work will be published without permission of the scout and the parent or guardian.
• This web site will follow the guidelines set forth in the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998.
• No commercial advertisement will be made part of our web site.
• This site will abide by all laws regarding copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property, and by those pertaining to the Internet.

Members Only Area (Accessible to all scouts in the troop and their parents):

• Troop rosters to include
  • Scout’s full name and phone numbers (no address information)
  • Ranks and positions of scouts
  • Scout recognition
• Troop Calendar (including scout contact list)
• Meeting agendas and minutes
